About Me

Sequim, Washington
Inspired by the beauty of the ocean, the scents of the garden, and the purpose of discovery. Exploration occurs in each of us. . . “Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.” Our simple “Cottage On The Bay” takes one's breath away. . . Most inspiring are the times spent with family and friends at our Cottage On The Bay. Long walks on the beach collecting sea glass and seashells, or looking for that perfectly sand washed stone that can add brilliance to a fine piece of jewelry; these are the miracles of nature that are so intriguing. Among our many affinities, searching for antiques and unique objects, enjoying the hunt for one-of-a-kind findings, and “marrying” these old treasures with things new gives us pleasure. Our love for cottage style decor, handmade creations, or capturing a moment in photography are the things my daughter, Michelle, and I aspire to share with family and friends. . .

LANDSCAPE DESIGN Decorating Styling: Best Conservatory Dimensions

My husband and I have been thinking about building a greenhouse out of old windows and doors.  This is a beautiful example of what you can do by using old things to make them new, or at least creatively.  Wonderful conservatory!

Reflections of the Day!

Today Michelle and I attended a wonderful flea market located on Camano Island called, Retreat.  The location was a farm site where vendors selling country cottage interiors, vintage home decor and furnishings, antiques and other wonderful gifts were perfectly displayed.  Michelle took photographs while my husband and I chatted about the unique items for sale.

Once we completed our walk through the displays, we went to lunch and then headed back to our home in Fall City.  We stopped to visit with a wonderfully creative lady who owns Heritage Garden Farm.  She has so many beautiful and elegant treasures.  You must stop by her home in Fall City or visit her blog at:

You'll love what you see!
